Haven’t been updating in quite a while as I have been pretty busy. Busy with work, and usually too tired after a long day at work to update. So, this is probably a long overdue update.

I think the next update will be on music. Electrico’s latest album is out. And i think i’ll buy it just to support them. They have done Singapore’s music scene a great favour, and so far, i’ve only talked to one of their members (desmond), and he’s a really nice guy. Maybe it’s coz fuzz introduced me to him, but he’s quite a nice funny chap.

So, last 2-3 weeks, eka has been back. It has been a great time of catching up, just like old times. Quite sad really, how our friendship over the last 3-4 years has been like that. We get to hang out for like 2-3 months on end, and then it’s back to minimal contact with him over in UK and me back here. But it’s good how we’ve managed to stay really good friends, and are still pretty much best friends until now. Well, 2 more years to go and he’ll be back for good. yay. =) But I’ll definitely visit him in London in the next 1-2 years! Earl’s Court residences. heh

And job-wise, things have been going well. I really enjoy working with my team, and am pretty much up to speed with the work and all. So that’s great. Learning new stuff all the time, and getting the hang of things around my job scope. Of course trying to learn stuff outta my job scope too, so that I’ll be more relevant to the team, and thus will put myself in a better position to get converted to perm. =p But for that whole perm conversion thing, I guess i’ll have to wait and see how it plays out. Gotta keep praying about it.

Been on a dutti spree lately too. So much so that eka’s been calling me duttiboy. But their shirts are really nice and well cut. I think they are pretty reasonably too, coz for that price, you do get quality. They are waaay better than zara shirts. And even Raoul shirts are becoming quite boring. Typical designs, and getting increasingly common. Furthermore, the Dutti sales have been great. Got a shirt and 2 khaki pants during the sales. For really reasonable prices too. So Massimo Dutti is one of my fav brands for now. Do not get fooled by the posh store facade, coz it’s only marginally more expensive than raoul and zara. And you do get the additional quality for the price premium, and I would dare say the quality increase is more than proportionate to the price premium. Maybe quality for Raoul shirts is not really the distinguishing factor, but the cut and designs of the dutti shirts definitely do appeal to me more than Raoul shirts.

Enough about that fashion talk ranting. haha. But work clothes are expensive.  Too bad one still needs a decent working clothes wardrobe though. And moreover, one needs to look the part if working in a bank.

And the latest update, would be me plucking out 4 of my wisdom teeth. Just 3 days ago on friday.

Hurrayy.

Got MC till friday, but I’ve got work to clear. And furthermore with my graduation ceremony coming up, no choice man. I need to go back to office asap to get my stuff done. So, I think i will be resting for one more day tomorrow, and then get back into office on tuesday. Garang huh. haha. Such garangness would not have been existent during army days, where the word of the moment is chaokeng. =p
But working life is very different. So yeah.

Gums still feel weird, and aches. Still can only eat porridge and really soft stuff.

Graduation ceremony in 5 days.

Graduation dinner in a week, at the very nice CHIJMES hall.
Looking forward to that.

Things have basically been interesting.
Uncomfortably unsettling in some ways,
especially with regards to the job hunt.
But if all goes well, i should be employed within the next 2-3 weeks.
Pray pray pray.
Gotta do my part and put in my efforts,
and leave the rest to God. =)

But besides that, things have been good.

Things on the band front have been excellent.
We played our first Barnone gig last monday.
It was also the album launch of the "For Good!" cd.
The bassist of The Stoned Revivals really liked our set,
and complimented us. wow.
It is an incredibly flattering compliment coming from him,
and meant a lot to us as a band.
Coz he's an awesome bassist and musician.
He basically stole the show, and was the star of the night.
The way he grooved, shuffled, danced with his bass…
played such cool bass lines,
and held the band together…

It was definitely a good gig, one of dia's best sets.
What a way to debut our new "epic" track,
and to launch the "for good" cd.
Now to polish up our songs even more.

Details of next gig will be posted up soon.
But it'll be held next saturday, 20th May, at Timbre.
Which is located at The Substation garden.

My bro's also coming back this coming monday.
That's definitely good news.
A little weird how times flies so fast,
and after not having had him around at home for half a year,
i've almost gotten used to him not being around.
But it would definitely be very nice to have him back around again.
On another note, it's sad that Chris is out of american idol.
I think he has one of the strongest voices in the competition,
and great stage presence too.
But he'll probably be snapped up even though he is out.
He would make a great singer for any rock band.
With such a great voice, he'll definitely be in demand.
Especially for singing rock stuff. Good luck to him. =)

comedy central on 5. Woot.
bet it would be a riot to see the funny wannabes who sing terribly..
hope no more terribly sly kinda singers this time round.
And i really hope the judges up their game,
and offer better critiques and comments.
To ever say that sly sings well is a travesty.
But i'll be realistic, and not expect too much. =p
